I have an interview for an assistant management position at gymboree and I'm not exactly sure what to wear. It's a children's retail store, and I know that the actual work dress code is pretty open. But I'm young(and female) and I dont have a lot of experience for the job I'm applying for so i want to make a great impression and look professional and serious but at the same time I DONT want to look like i'm trying too hard and i DONT want to wear a black suit as i normally would for an interview. I would possibly like to wear a suit jacket with a skirt but not a plain pencil or a-line that looks like its made for office attire but i'm not sure what kinds of skirts would fall under the category of too casual. I also have no problem wearing pants..i'm just not sure of what i should wear at all! for more info about the store...the website is www.gymboree.com

if you wear a skirt, wear it long with a simple top and some sandals... remember, you will be working around children so nothing sexy. If I were you, I would wear some khakis and a button down white shirt, hair up. The simpler the better

A skirt or pants and a coordinating jacket (as opposed to a "suit") would be appropriate. There are a lot of colors this spring that would not be out of place - peach, cocoa and that sort of aqua blue would look good. Just stay away from the "brights" although as an accent (or a blouse under a jacket) a bright color would be nice.
Please remember no matter whether you wear a skirt or pants: WEAR HOSE!

first of all i would like to say that i look FANTASTIC at work! i buy the majority of my clothes from Portmans, if you go in there you will see what the latest fashion/colours are. the girls in their will help you.

seeing as its a childrens retail store you want to be professional but you have to be looking up with the latest fashions! try a high waisted skirt as is the lastest fashion (IF YOU HAVE THE BODY FOR IT) otherwise a fitted skirt and work shirt and some funky earings and necklace, and do you hair nice (straighten it or something) and do some funky makeup.

Interview outfits constantly relies upon on the form of place which you're applying for. women's outfits for professional jobs remains a conservative skirt a minimum of knee length or a 'pant healthful' that's analogous to visual charm as a adult adult males's healthful (many times with out tie). Black is a good colour and so is gray. keep away from issues like pastels. attempt no to positioned on any physique spray or a minimum of little or no. Interview are many times achieved in close quarters and robust physique spray would be distracting to all.
