I want to be a doctor when I grow up but right now I am only 17...... Is medical school really hard? Is it really stressful? Do you have to study all the time? and is it really fun being a doctor or very stressful? And do you ever get to have enough time to hang out with friends and family?

Good for you , dear. Med school is very tough, but getting in is actually tougher! It takes all of your time, I didnt sleep every night, spent 40 hours+ awake 2-5 times a month, slept in my truck, family and friends will forget what you look like. Having the time to feed the cat or buy food was difficult. There are no days and nights, you live a 24 hour schedule. You will goto school then study until the sun comes up and its time for class again. Yet it's some how the best thing in the world if you want to practice medicine!! You'll love it :)

I wanted to be a doctor, but God had other plans for me. Your very young and have the whole world at your feet. College consumes most of your time if you plan on a high enough GPA to get into a good school. Take it one step at a time. Take some of your college classes this summer. Prerequisites get them out of the way, then you will be ahead when you start your studies. Best wishes to you may all your dreams come true. Remember Jesus is always there when you need a friend.

Don't even entertain the notion unless you have a serious interest in the field. It is hard and takes incredible dedication and all your time.
