The war and its continuation are definitely key issues to which larger and larger sections of society want answers. Living in denial or 'fudging' with slogans and sound bites (like 'stay the course' and 'flip-flopping') may well cost a complacent neocon votes.
Don't underestimate how difficult it will be for an opposing view to rally supporters though......

reasonable people might hope so
3,800 dead soldiers and thousands wounded and traumatized g.i.'s. who are not getting proper care.
60,000 dead civilians, 100,000 + wounded and traumatized iraqis. nearly 2 million displaced.
surely the neocons can expect that the next president will not state that god wanted her to be president like piggly bush did.
america was nearly taken over by the immoral "moral majority", falwell ( a nasty pig who gets fatter every day ), the newts, and limbaughs.
however those malicious hipocrites have been seen for what they are, and the right wing born again republicans
are going to have to learn something about free thought, free speech, and democracy.
and know that humans have imagined all sorts of gods, demons and hobgoblins. and learn that atheists can kick any of their gods asses any day of the week.
before they continue to polute the planet with their vile, malevolent condecension and hipocracy.
VIVA GALILEO
vote anything but republican
they knew nothing of world diplomacy and have made america an enemy to much of the world because of their pig-ignorant, short-sighted foreign affairs agenda.
dumbya is a fool. cheney is evil.

Yes. It's already happening. The Iraq war won't end anytime soon, and Bush's refusal to even *consider* war strategy alternatives with our troops will send most of his conservative base running for cover like they did in the mid-terms.
Guliani and McCain don't have a prayer in hell of getting elected--let alone secure enough of the nom.

Not necessarily. The Dems are posting up a woman and a black man..../sigh....that's an instant lose card for the dems. Reps will win it if it doesn't go just right.
However, if Hillary is picked as primary and takes Obama as he Vice, that will get out the Woman AND the black vote...that could get us our first woman pres...or vice versa would be first black pres....We shall see.
