Conservatives don't "like" rich people per se, they just don't think it's the job of government to steal their money and give it to other people. Liberals think rich people got rich by stealing other people's money, but that is far from the truth. If you sell something to someone, you're not stealing their money, you're creating money and giving it back to the economy the next time you spend it. Bill Gates is a liberal and so are most rich people, George soros for example. But they have the right to their money because they've earned it, not stolen it. It's a communistic ideal to think private citizens don't have a right to their own property.

Conservatives don't like or respect other people just for being rich.

They respect people for having good values, whether those people are rich, poor, or in the middle. They also believe that just about everyone -- rich, poor, or in the middle -- can achieve great things if they set their minds to it and are willing to work hard.

Donald Trump is sort of a mixed bag because, although he has achieved a lot financially, he can be very verbally aggressive, and seems to show poor judgment when it comes to exercising restraint in what he says. The latest example is his running verbal fight with Rosie O'Donnell, who has a very sharp tongue herself.

Conservatives dont like/respect rich people. Conservatives just dont believe in taking all of your money to spend it on crap such as welfare and free handouts to others.
