make sure there are no disks, cds or zip drives in any of the drives and then shut down, or just turn off the power to the computer and wait 30 seconds and then turn it back on. That should do it.

Its possible that the Hard Drive is not detected. Turn off computer and open the computer tower> RESEAT(unplug and replug) the power cable and the data cable of your Hard drive> Close the computer tower> Turn on computer and tap DEL Key once per second to go BIOS Setup> Once inside, press Num lock Key, Caps lock Key and Scroll Lock Key.> Press F10 and type Y then ENTER.> Save and Exit.. SEE if it works or not..
If you didn't understand everything I said... go for Tech Support. Better option!
Try to do this easy troubleshooting step first. UNPLUG ALL CABLES AND PRESS THE POWER BUTTON FOR ABOUT 60 SECONDS. REPLUG CABLES AND TURN ON YOUR COMPUTER. I SUGGEST YOU TRY THIS FIRST!!

If it says primary disk cannot be found, either you hard disk is faulty or the connection cable is loose. Window can't boot without the OS which is in the primary disk drive.

Your hard drive crapped out ...finished...done for or you have lost , deleted your operating system ...like XP I would imagine.
Try putting your XP disk in and boot from your CD drive maybe you can restore your operating system.
Good Luck
