Yes... I try to avoid drama and all the subtle little manipulations in my work environment. Many use me as a sounding board, but know that I choose not to participate in the dramas if at all possible. This approach works for me. My coworkers know where I stand, and leave me out of a lot of petty tug of wars. This is definitely to my benefit! I've gained a reputation as a person who can listen well... That I like.
