i had a laptop quit and i installed the hard drive as a slave on my desktop have access to all folders except owner and lower subfolders

i had a laptop quit and i installed the hard drive as a slave on my desktop have access to all folders except owner and lower subfolders have tried dragging it to shared folder and resetting permissions as well as a million programs that claim to gain access the best so far was a program called unlocker it let me change the name and move the first folder but wont give me acess to any subfolder

There's reasons permissions are set on folders, my friend.

edit: oh i see now. what exactly happened on your laptop? also, on your desktop, are you logged in as an admin?

Mad Max is probably right. The problem has to do with access permissions. Follow the instructions on this page to take (or re-take) ownership of the folders you can't access on that drive.

Well have you tired to restart your comp or what kind of folder you trying to open?

if u login as admin first make sure u installed .NET framework ,
then still having problem goto www.download.com search for free encrypt-decrypt software and use it wisely!
