Dear friend , I have bitter experience with psychiatrists. One of my relatives was having some mental problem (compulsive neurosis) for which I went to four doctors. They took heavy fees and gave medicines which induce sleep and sluggishness. They all are so busy and hence they did not talk to the patient (counselling) One doctor even tried Hypnotism and asked her practice. She never did. Finally I stopped going to them since I could not afford them. I asked her to practise yoga and pray to god ,take rest and read lot of literature, both fiction and others. Now she is much better. It is better the patient talks their problem with others. Then they come out of their phobia. So talk more, rest, sleep and be happy. Pray and you will be cured. once you lose tension your BP will become normal.

Since you are appearing in a exam very soon, this is very important that you do not suddenly change the treatment as it can change the internal equilibrium, You have said that you are feeling better then don't change any thing so fast, try to reduce your sleep if you can to the form of relaxing rather than sleeping, actually i feel this is what is happening you are visualising things "but sometimes phobias n traumas r coming back n I am having nightmares during my afternoon nap"
what I suggest is that you try to sleep on the side rather than on your back it is helpful if your right nostril is open and pingla is the path of prana flow, especially if it is after a light meal.

I would not hesitate seeing a psychiatrist. They are well versed in prescribing prescription medicines that aren't directly connected with mental health at all. They may or may not mix these medicines with combinations of other non -mental health medicines to achieve a result with little or no side effects. Prescribed medications do not always include the glamorous pills you see on TV every day.

Go see a psychiatrist because they are trained specifically for mental health a general doctor is not. A psych. will be able to treat you more appropriately since they know more about mental illnesses. Ask your doctor to refer you to one, and also seek pyschotherapy- it really works, believe it or not.

I would see a Psychiatrist.
A couple of those meds i don't think a regular Md. should be prescribing.
Make sure both Drs. are on the same page though! You know what i mean?...
Make sure both know what you are taking!
Good luck!
Sometimes that's hard to do!

read the little pamphlets or get a medical book on medications, yes the side affects are great, and sleeping out rage in arguments and nerves, even eye sight not even mentioning the manly desires for woman. they sure are bad effects.
