I have known a few gay men who actually became attracted to a few gorgeous girls. So are a lot of gay/lesbian people actually bisexuals deep inside and prefer one sex over the other, or is this not true?

The term homosexual is a relatively new word. It comes with the 20th century's obsession to classify everything.
Straight men can have sex with other straight men in special situations, eg. Prison.
Gay men can also have sex with women to have children.
However, I feel the really accurate way to see if a person is really bisexual, is to ask him if he can fall deeply in love with members of both sexes.
Research has shown that women are more sexually ambidextrous. They flip flop. You can read below regarding the Kinsey scale 0 to 6.
0 means "I will only have sex with opposite sex"
6 means "I will only have sex with same sex"

Not sure. But it seems unlikely that all homosexuals would only be interested in the same sex and all heterosexuals would be interested only in the opposite sex. Maybe there is a small proportion who simply favor one over the other, without being completely bi-sexual.
Who knows? All I know is that I am attracted to men, but not women.

I think it would be safe to say that yes there are many homosexuals/lesbians who are really bisexuals.
However I think more are truly gay/lesbian and only attracted to the same sex.

Bisexuality for want of a way better word is the norm // people get the jones for people of both sexes, why do you think sexy faces & bodies of sexes sell products?

Most Homosexual Men & Women are fairly true to type...
There is a fairly large group of "Bi" women though..

I think a lot of them are really straight but have been pressured by "gay" people into believing they mus try out their life style. I don't think they are bi I think they never should have been playing aroundn with the same sex in the first place.
They think if they call you homo phobic enough you'll kiss um to shut um up. Their nothing worng with STAYING STRAIGHT people, stop trying to make people gay.

many people are bi and don't admit it.
some even say everyone is bi- even if you are 99% for one gender and 1% for the other
