Absolutely! It is very silly, the cons want to brainwash the public into believing that opposing the war is unpatriotic. They know as well as we do that this war is for oil, not the independence of Iraq. They care no more for Iraq than the rest of the American public. Their "patriotism" is an excuse for an agenda to deepen the pockets of rich politicians or "republicans" they are commonly referred. Bush is playing us all for fools.

Just politics, son -- just politics. One scumbag keeps cutting the corners, loses the next election and is usually replaced by someone just as bad. They just look neat and clean because they are new at that point. Give them a few years, no matter which party, and the thing repeats. All you can do is research the people running and pick the best to vote for. Most of the time it is the choice of the lesser evil.

What's silly is all this Conservatives vs Liberals or Republicans vs Democrats.
I truly doubt whether either one wants to bring any harm to America but reading some of the rhetoric out here, I'm getting the feeling that there are some Americans that would prefer a "One Party" system.

Why am I not allowed to have a different point from you and still be patriotic? I have never called anyone a traitor, would never consider it. I enjoy good, healthy debates on politics, everyone here seems more into "jabbing the other party" with their snipes. Disgusting.

What could be relaxing is that if each and all of the Republicans joined the Democratic occasion and delivered all their concepts and applicants with them. Combining the conservative Democrats with the Republicans could replace the complexion of the Democratic occasion appreciably. it may be lots extra complicated for extreme "liberals" to push their time table.

Dude, we're not the ones yelling and marching up and down the streets with our little signs, singing sweat songs, holding hands, doing love chants.
That Coulter can get raspy, I'll give you that. But most definitely the "yelling" comes from the libs side, we rarely yell.
And we might think libs were more patriotic if the anarchists weren't welcome at all their rally's, and the socialists, and the communists.
Edit:
Hey, only you know if you participate, side by side, at these rallies with socialists and communists and anarchists. If you do, then yes, I think you are un-American. But if you don't put up with THAT crap, you can certainly be a liberal Democrat and be patriotic, in my book.
Always remember, we each define patriotism in our own way. If you aren't, basically, a Capitalist, yes, by my way of thinking you shouldn't be a part of this country. I hope you don't think I'm yelling, that's just my polite, but strong, opinion.

I'm a liberal (likely more so than you!) I'm a lifelong Democrat. A veteran of our armed forces (are you?) And very patriotic!!
I've NEVER had a "conservative" attack me, & what is silly (and embarassing) is the questions posed by you & others like you w no tolerance or ability to offer ANYTHING POSITIVE....EVER !!
THAT is why you draw attacks my naive friend
Late edit for "G" Thank you so much!! I feel much better now that you have chosen to attack ME!! Too bad you don't have the courage to have email access enabled so we could discuss your attack like adults!! I did not question Acumen's patriotism here(apologies if I did), or insult you , & for the record I did bring up an issue. If you have any guts you'll email me & try to remain calm, this is a forum & I'm certainly NOT your enemy. I have better things to do!!

SILLY
.
what i think is silly is talking of conservatives and liberals in america when all you have is two corrupt lying parties that take pot shots at each other and thers no third choice.Conservatives take unnecessary power in the name of fighting terrorism and liberals pretend to be making things "equal" for minorities and pretend that global warming is real when for both sides these issues are only fake lures for us and sheilds against each other so they can call each other tyrants and fascists and they are all right. Who would dare to call this democracy? aristotle would vomit.

Foolish children who have no clue what is going on in american politics are not traitors they are (they're) just stupid. Thier leaders are the traitors. Nazzi Pilosi, Ted Kennedy, Jack Murtha et al are a bunch of pinko socialists who would sell out the American way in a heartbeat.. I say hang the lot of them for treason!

patriotism - love for ones country. why are you even bringing stupid crap like this up. patriotism - or at least the title - doesnt belong to one party. If you live in this country, you can be patriotic about it. I dont care if you dont agree with conservative policies but show some love to your opposing party as a fellow american.

has santabud ever actually looked at what goes on, on this board?
he's NEVER posted a question to be attacked on... why don't you try it... see what happens before you cry about other questions?
and why are you questioning other's patriotism? that's exactly what he's talking about? you discuss no issue and you yourself only insult others right here?
and to answer the question... it is clearly silly
