First of all it is important to use your resourses...like a respit sitter so you can get out...meet some people on line through a local dating or chatting site and always be smart and meet in a public busy place for safety. Explore the things you used to enjoy, think back to the happiest times in your life, make new friends, utilize support goups local and on the internet. Most importantly you must make time for yourself it's the only way to rejuvinate or revive yourself when you are getting burned out. I am a single parent of two teenagers one of which is a mouthy daughter and the other which is a son who is disabled. I work full time and go to school half time and it is overwhelming at times but you will succeed just as I have. Good luck! Make sure to take some time for yourself!

First of all calling your daughter mouthy and clingy is an awful thing to say but as for dealing with your stress you should see if you could get help thru family services or your family. If someone could just give you a few hours a week to get some alone time it would help alot!

Lots of Luck To You!

Depending on the special needs your childs has you may qualify for assistance through County or State Board of Mental Retardation or developmental Disabilities. I live in Ohio and that it what it is called here . There are Medicaid funds available in most states that can help provide respite to parents. Check also with you state Job and Famiy services to see if you would qualify ...at least in Ohio they are the agency that approves funding.

If your child is school age(even Preschool) the school should be able to give you resources. If your special needs child is not in preschool but that age there are programs titled Head Start you can look into.

Hope this helps...email me if you want and I can try to assist more

Feel like holding them under in the bath do ya? Why don't you employ a nanny?
