You have to be careful with mouth to mouth resuscitation. "Death could ease up into your lungs. If death gets two for one, that's a good day for death."

New protocol suggest only chest compressions (more than 60 per minute - i.e. very vigourously) for people who suddenly collapse (usually due to heart failure). Mouth to mouth is only recommended in clear cases of no breathing - like a drowning victim or someone who has had a drug overdose.

1st make sure the objective is in distress. 2nd make sure the objective can't breath by making sure the airway is clear. 3rd hold nose and breath 3 times into mouth. 4th. put ear to nose/mouth , checking for air. do 6 chest compressions and repeat step 2, repeat until 911 arrives.

I seriously hope you'd don't assume that "kiss it down" is a legitimate form of help.

Seriously? Tilt their head back and pinch the nose and give three breaths and stop and 15 chest compressions folloed by the breaths keep it up until help arrives or your too exausted to go on.
