after the temperature rise you are in your luteal phase. this is when the egg would be fertilized and then implanted. if it goes down toward the end of your cycle, you are most likely not pregnant. if it stays up, there is a good chance you are pregnant.

Hi:) The post ovulation temp rise is caused by your body preparing itself for a pregnancy in case fertilization has occured.If conception has occured your temp's will stay up past your usual luteal phase length.High temps for 18 days or more usually signals a pregnancy.Your temp may drop a day or 2 before AF or you may not see a drop until AF has actually started,every woman is different.Good luck and hope this helps
