Wolves don't *hide* in packs - the pack is their family and friends. They're extremely intelligent animals that are able to bring down prey many times their size by working together. Only one male and female in the pack breed and the pups are raised by the whole pack. They care for each other and altho there is security in numbers that isn't the primary reason for living in packs.

wolves aren't stupid - and they don't live in packs soley for the security - they're pack animals, so they hunt in packs (way more effective) and live together(coz they're social-ish) and ...yeah. no. no anwers your question. i'm sure there's a wolf specialist out there who'll tell you more...

wolves arn't stupid!!! just not as smart as us.
they hunt in packs because it helps them servive and get bigger kills. why do people make friends. its almost the smame answer.
