People who debate this issue give me the shits! They ramble on and on about it before really looking into it!
Mate if you have any doubts about just how real it is come to Australia or look on the net. We are in the worst drought in history. There are 4yr old children here who have never seen rain. Old farmers are saying this is no normal drought, this is entirely different. Here many towns have run dry, the dams and the bores, and water has to be trucked in to the residents. We are in south east Qld not allowed to use any water whatsoever for any purpose outside..ever. Not to wash your car water the gardens or clean the house. Not even with a bucket. We will be drinking recycled sewerage waste next year. Is that real enough for you? And that's just the towns!
Farmers who have been on their properties for generations are just packing up their belongings and walking away, not selling, just leaving. They are past having their crops fail, because they are broke and in debt up to their eye teeth, and cant even afford the seed. Or the banks have already taken their now useless homes from them. Their stock is all dead, most shot, so they would not die from hunger or thirst. Four Aussie farmers are committing suicide every week...is that real enough for you?
You sit there in your houses with your nice green lawns(god id even go for brown lawn!) And you declare that Global warming is not a threat! In some ways you are right ,,...its not a threat mate its real!
I cant speak for your Al Gore as a politician, but you can plainly see the man has put his neck on the chopping block in front of a world full of uninformed idiots, for the good of those same people! The man is a warrior for this planet, and its about time you nobs give him a break, and get on the computer and educate your selves!

Climate is changing, there is no doubt about that.
We have pretty good records of global weather stretching back much farther than a few hundred years, by studying ice cores from Greenland and Anarctica, and sediment records from the ocean bottoms. http://www.grida.no/climate/ipcc_tar/wg1/068.htm
Climate change will and has already altered weather patterns and ecosystems to make life hard on not just us, but on most living things. Disease patterns change with differences in insect range, for crops, livestock AND human beings. I remember when mosquito born encephalitis was a tropical disease, but now people get it in St Louis every Summer.
The rate of change may not sound high, but it shifts ecosystems faster than plants and many animals can change their range. It does this even in the ocean, causing huge dead zones. Water levels do rise, and they will not be going down again soon. Many island nations in the Pacific have already aranged for their populations to be moved to various places as farm laborers. Nations do not do this lightly.
Did we do it? There is good evidence that we have done it, but even better evidence that we can effect the progress of global warming. Whether we did it or not, we must do what we can to minimize the rise and rate of rise in temperature if we wish to avoid mass extinctions. We will not be the first, or the last, to go.
Major climate shifts have occurred before due to natural causes, and have caused mass extinctions. I do not feel inclined to accept extinction just because it is 'natural'. Mankind has survived environmental bottlenecks before because we have *brains*...
Let's see if we still do.

Sure theirs global warming and sometimes global cooling. It's what nature does. Man is just not the main cause of this no matter what he does. Scientists all agree that yes the planet has warmed in the last 100 years. By about 7 tenths of one degree. If that's enough to cause what Mr. Gore says is going to happen then this old earth is a lot more fragile then I thought she was. And mars is heating up about the same as earth according to NASA. I think it's being caused not by us polluting our atmosphere (which is not a good thing) but by that little orange ball in the sky we call the sun. To the Aussie who is having the terrible drought. Wow I am so sorry to hear about that. But I don't think anything man did caused it. And if it did then you should blame people like Al Gore instead of praising him. Because he is one of the worst polluters on the planet! He uses over 300 times the amount of energy as the average American family does in one year. And that is only in one of his mansions. He travels in a jet plane while in the air and in Chevy suv limos when he is telling us to drive a hybrid and use the bus, or walk. He is a do as I say not as I do hypocrite. And those are all facts that I found from what you told me to do educate myself in this on the Internet and books.

Climate change is a natural cycle of the Earth, the mistake is believing it's man made. Right now we're still emerging from the last ice age and so the Earth is warming then it'll reverse itself and we'll see another ice age. The care mongers will have you believe otherwise to take away your attention form their incompetence and agenda.
Instead of trying to stop or reverse it, which cannot be done the resources should be spent on trying to deal with the effects, ie drought, floods, bad weather etc.

i've got faith we are being innovations washed to have faith climate exchange is synthetic. And, I consider the above that there is an complex lie created and compelled on us with the help of individuals with ulterior motives. This international has long previous via climate adjustments for 1000's of years and that they weren't artifical. This concern makes me unwell. God created this international and each little thing in it and the impacts that impression it. in case you like a real conspiracy concept, purely look at our democratic government. Case closed!

The earth's climate has been changing throughout history.
Do you know that there is a recorded, "mini ice age" in Europe in the dark ages?
We only have accurate data going back a couple hundred years, out of the MILLIONS that the earth has been here.
And if you really want to stop global warming, quit buying anything made in China.
China will SURPASS the US in emissions this year. And if we continue feeding their industrial revolution, it will only get worse. They just killed off the white dolphins in the Yangtze River with their pollution, and they do not care.
Quit buying foreign crap and stop global warming!

Recent studies also show that 99.99999% of Canadian citizens are not educated on the subject and are not capable of forming an objective opinion.
