You mean real musicians? That'd be nice. I grew up in the era, so I've already heard a lot of it. It was great. Nowadays I'd just like to hear a band with an original sound. Nickel for fighting, Five Doors Down, Yellowback, Coldstain'd, Creedplay, Threecard--they all sound alike to me. Put 'em all in a blender. They're so slick and commercially packaged and cleverly merchandised I'd just as soon buy a candy bar. Tool is just about the only one I've heard with their own ideas. The Classic Rock thing will happen eventually. They'll call it Classic Revival. It'll make millions and last a couple of years, like Swing Revival and Retrobilly.

Today's Rock Bands all just sound like the same band, kind of like a broken record. I would love to hear them play the music with the quality of the 60's + 70's bands, but then they would have to get some talent and artistic capabilities. Yikes, that sounded mean but it's true. Every time you turn on the car stereo there's a new band that just came out that sounds like the new band that just came out last week. I think they must be coming out of a factory or they are being cloned : )

How old are you? It wouldn't be Classic Rock. (&) You are right, they had stylistic quality in the 60's & 70's. never be another like them. Times change... different generation!

Music goes through changes just like fashion. The funny thing is my 17 year old son listens to much of the 70's classic rock, and I love to remind him I listen to the same stuff. He just doesn't think his mom was ever cool enough to listen to it. I think alot of the new country has some of the old 70's sound.

yes - i would love that! but unfortunately the music business is so commercialized that all the good music gets buried. i mean, it's not so much anymore about how much you can vote for a song to get it heard on the radio - it's more like these big music companies pay radio stations to play their clients' songs. so it's not about what we the listeners want to hear anymore. seriously - you should watch all of the episodes of the documentary 'strong enough to break' on the itunes podcast called 'taking the walk'. it's all about how commercialized music is becoming, and it's about this band's struggle to break free from commercialism and just make the kind of music they want to make.

new people for some reason don't have as strong and dramatic voices as people back then. i mean, look at robert plant for example. his voice is sooo...big! its so overwhelmingly strong! - if you know what i mean. young singers just don't have that kind of voice anymore. or david gilmour- his voice is amaaazing. so new singers can play guitar well, but i just don't think a lot of them have the voice anymore. so if they tried singing a classic song, it just wouldn't work out...its like the new tom and jerry. they've got the basics, but they can't master all the little details that matter.

yes, that'd be good, but sadly emo has become the new trend of rockers in this generation, and all they play are sad sappy rock songs.
you should start a band, and blast these fruitcakes outta here.
