The Earth's gravity field would change... tidal patterns would go wild... the Earth would quickly turn against itself and within a few weeks, a majority of the Earth's population would be dead due to flooding and other weather related anomalies !

The most significant immediate effect would be effect on tides which would include a very much reduced tidal range, with tides following roughly regular daily fluctuations. Longer term impacts would include extinctions of plants & animals that rely on tidal waters, such as those in estuarine ecosystems and those that reproduce in accordance with lunar events, of particular note - corals. Then of course the Earth's orbit would be affected, but seeing as though I'm not a recognized astrophysicist, I'm not clear on the particulars .

No more tides which we and nature depend on. Also the earth width the lack of a gravitational stabilizer we would become unstable. Also the rotation of the earth would stop decelerating.

No high and low tides.... No Lunar Base for man's expansion...
No way to see at night if electricity suddenly stops flowing in our great network of wires...

Tides would be different, or non-existant for sure.
Also, you would not have nights lit up by full moons.

That's all I can think of for now. Interesting question.

no more tides so sea life would die then the collapse of the food chain, weather would go crazy and we would all die
