All right, so we're going to move to a different class a few days later, but how do I tell the teacher I want to sit next to a girl? WE HAVE ASSIGNED SEATS EVERYTIME AND YOU CAN'T TALK OR MOVE ANYWHERE FURTHER THAN LIKE 5 METERS. Please tell me. I need a good reason.

Arrive early.

Just sit in the seat you want. Don't tell anything about this girl.

When you get caught go oh, sorry sorry. Be serious, not like sarastic. This is the key.

Next day, arrive early. Sit in the seat you want.

When caught go oh, sorry sorry.

Next day arrive early sit in the seat you want.

They might get tired, and relent.

If not they might threaten you for not following rules.

Say oh, sorry.

Next Day, sit in the seat that you want.

If they get mad, say oh sorry sorry, and ask to speak to them after class about it.

After class say you need three minutes to explain yourself, with nobody else around.

If they won't let you have the time, this won't work. In that case, you've made your point, the girl knows you are not afraid to try. If you are able to make your speech, Use these exact words, (maybe print this out)

"Here it is. I won't lie. I am not trying to be disrespectful, but I am forced by my own inherent duty to propagate the race of Homo sapiens sapiens to maintain close proximity to the object of my affection, "Insert girl's name here" I am trying to get her attention.

I realize you have rules, but as a growing adolescent, I have a more than pressing biological need to do this, to be near her.

I was so desperate to do this that I asked exactly how to do this to a few hundred people on the internet, and this is the answer I got, from a guy who was a total geek in high school, who was in the more or less same situation.

This is the advice he gave me, the Mohatma Ghandi Strategy of Passive Resistance. It worked against the British, winning Freedom from British Rule, and was not violent, but it took some long years.

All I really want is to sit next to this girl that I like, and it is my sincere hope that I have just given you a story you can tell to other teachers and recall fondly in the future, when you look back on your career as a teacher.

My friend from the Internet even though he is now over 40, still recalls the lessons he learned in grade school, cleaning erasers, washing the chalkboard, math, english, spanish, german, and the rest that carried him through life, through an exciting career in the military.

Please spare this young student from your wrath, that he might find a spark of fulfillment in his life. One day, with your guidance, they might grow to have a wry wit. One Hopes.

Then show the teacher this paper, that you printed out, after you recited all of this. They will probably be laughing and punish you anyway.

Good luck.

You're out of luck unless she sits near the front and you can claim to have trouble seeing or hearing and have to sit close or if she sits near the door you can claim to have a bladder problem and need easy exit seat. Otherwise, the teacher will do everything to keep you apart so you can both learn.

If the teacher is mean you'll never get to sit next to her. On the other hand just kindly ask the teacher if she could assign your seat next to the girl you like.

tell your teacher that you have found the girl you are sure you are going to marry. promise your teacher that you'll get an A+ in his/her class if you are to be seated next to the girl. Even if you fail the class, at least you got to seat right next to her.

Ask the teacher if you can be moved because some person is distracting you, or your having some trouble in your spot. Then request a spot where you think would be better. That ALWAYS works for me.

There is no good reason. If you have assigned seats, then that's the way it is. Grow up and sit where you are told

Just ask the teacher if you can have your seat reassigned, that you would prefer to set next to a girl. Straight forward just might get it.

Well don't say it's because you like the girl because they won't take you seriously. The teacher would probably think that girls will come and go for you because your young. Just say that you can see the board better or something like that.

Ask is the way to know. If the teacher says yes then you are in heaven. If she says no then you haven't lost anything.

Just walk up and ask. Be very nice about it though.
