We go to a school where the entire sophomore class is 17 people. I asked her out and we went to the local burrito shop, where we got Grandes and Extra Large diet cokes.

Then we got in her car (she drove), which is an old jeep, and we started going down a very bumpy road. I kept farting at every bump like "Fip-Fip-BROMPH! Fip-put-SCHFLUMP!" like kind of a rhythym or beat. I was blaming it on the road, but we stopped for a sec, and all the noises stopped cold.

Then we started up again, and I started farting again! Stupid Cokes! Then she stopped short, and I went BUUURP! The only way I could think of getting out of it was to blame it on her.

What do I say at school, and do you think there will be a second date?

Ever heard of laughing at yourself? If you've never done it now is a good time to start. It's tough the first time or two but people usually respond well to someone who can laugh at the silliness that happens in their life.

Just simply appologise, It's all natural we all do it. Sometime's you just can't control it. Unless she/he is a total snob she/he (in any case) probable wouldn't hold it against you. You don't have to make a big joke of it or a big deal will only prolong the fret. Relax and ask the person out again. If they say no because of something as stupid as that they are not worth your time. Or maybe they just didn't like the date period and had nothing to do with that. If they say yes then more power to ya. Just be careful what you eat next time.

Ok first of all don't blame her for your bodily oopsies unless you were joking of course. secondly burping and all that is a normal bodily function. Females do it too!!! I suggest just joking around about it if it gets brought up and if she acts rude about it then she definitely isn't someone you want to be with anyway. you need to have a sense of humor and know what is normal and what is not. And by the way I hope you excused yourself it doesn't sound like you did. the story you told made it sound like you weren't being much of a gentleman by how you reacted. but that's my opinion. Depending on her personality and type of person she is will determine a second date or not. If it doesn't work there are plenty of fish in the sea. good luck!

Man, you can't stop flatulence man. Just go with the flow. You shouldn't blame your burping on her its not her fault. If you apologize, and like other people said, laugh at it, ask for a second date. Say like I'll try not stink up the car this time or some other funny line that will get her to laugh. If she's not uptight she'll go on a second date. If she is stuck up, then just move on. Love your story that was hilarious.

Make a joke out of it. Make light of it. Laugh about it. My husbande belched and farted on our first date (we had Mexican too!) and apologized. I said don't worry about it, it's normal bodily stuff.

I hope she's not so uptight that she can't laugh it off too. If she can't, well that's a recipe for disaster.

I hope I didn't embarass you too much, I'm sorry... "the noise" was an accident. I'll come better prepared next time if you'll give me a next time. I'd be honored to take you to (name the place).

Make sure you smell good next time you see her, laugh it off, and stick with water.
