I bought a shirt at old navy last weekend
and i've washed it once since it got and the first time i washed it it streched out a little but not enough to worry about. I bought it as a medium and then when i i washed it again today it got streched out from about a medium to about an x-large. Is there a way i can get it back down to at least a size between medium and large cuz anything bigger than that and it is practically falling off of me.

to the person who said to take it back, the shirt is sanforized meaning a process for shrinkage control. Residual shrinkage or streching out of not over 1 percent guaranteed so i can't take it back.

it is due to bad quality of yarn used.
compact it with aron, if it comes ok, or else give it back to blue nevy.

did you say old navy??? anyway, yeah i have had several old navy shirts that went from xs to large (imagine that, especially the neckline). sorry bud but i don't think its possible to shrink it again to its normal size or make it fit you right unless you gain weight. but you could try taking it for a spin in the dryer. but unless its pre-shrunk material then its hopeless. anyway, better check the label for the material used to make the shirt so that you know better than to let the washer stretch another new shirt another time.

Take it back, and exchange it for something else, as you will not be able to shrink it back into shape. Tell them you have washed it twice, and you feel it should not stretch out like that.

Do you not think your shirt exceeded stretching by 1%? I would say it exceeded 200% since it has increased 2 whole sizes.
