Do you read a book?
I have noticed that people have certain habits during mealtime. My sister crosses her leg and kicks her ankle up and down...What are yours?

Good question! I actually think while im eating. i mean thats why the food is there right to eat while its hot. not when its cold? i actually noticed this recently with my girlfriend. we both like to eat instead of talking while eating.

I like to talk during a meal because I think it's a social event and a nice time to catch up on news. But my husband and son aren't big talkers, guess they'd rather concentrate on eating, so when I get tired of doing all the talking, I shut up and turn on the TV and watch the news or whatever is on.
I'm thinking that happens because I eat to live and my husband lives to eat, so we have different priorities at mealtime. ;)

Talk more (between bites). Eating with someone is such a fun "ritual." I've spent as much as eight hours in a restaurant with a friend! Eat, talk, drink wine, talk, eat, & so on. For me, it's the most appropriate time to "share" thoughts. Eating alone is quite different; I'd never read a book, I'd be too busy "observing" other people & getting little blips of their conversations!

HAHAHA! I think I eat and let everyone else talk. Then I go in the living room and crash while they still eating. Hmmm?
I will say this; Before I eat, I have the "preparation ritual" things like salt, pepper, butter bread etc. then when everything the way I want and in proper position, I eat! LOL!
People laugh as it may take 2-4 minutes.

I think I talk more. I cannot sit across from someone and eat and watch them eat. Thats just wierd. I tend to cross my legs and keep one hand under the table (I was raised where your free hand on the table is a sign of disrespect).

I'm the female version of homer simpson - Can't talk - eating.

I dont think i have a habit at meal time apart from trying to eat as quickly and as much as i can.

I love food.

Its like robert from everyone loves raymond, touches his food to his chin.

I am a man, therefore I EAT. If you persist in talking to me, I may occasionally grunt. Otherwise I eat, make yummy sounds and point if I need something. When I am finished eating I am ready to leave the table. Please do not ask me to stay while you finish eating. If you had been eating instead of talking you would be done now too. Me man, me eat, me go.

I think almost constantly when I eat. I put on the tv when I eat sometimes so I can actually think more, I come up with really great ideas by eating!
