No it doesnt. Im 16(not much difference, really),hoping to get my hands on it, and i have played the game since i was 10.(my first experience was with yellow version when i was on board a plane, i got hooked on it ever since. ><)Much to the consternation of my friends, of course.(they think im childish.. but hey, it takes one to know one!)
Why bother about what others think, to each his own, as long as we have fun playing it! ((: I mean, you dont play games just so that you wont appear "nerd" right? You do so to enjoy yourself. I mean, say, if you dont like WoW or CS(i dont, for that matter), why make yourself miserable over a game, when it is supposed to help you relax, just because it is one of the hottest games ever, with international competitions and everything, to make yourself look... i dunno, cool or something?)
I think the game beats the pokemon cartoon, at any rate.

no it doesn't, pokemon came out ten years ago you were a kid then, its only natural that you still love it! i am 18 and i can't wait for the new pokemon game, i'm in the same boat as you! You're not nerd consider yourself a gamer!

Just as long as it doesnt become the only thing you talk about. Be proud of yourself for getting worked up for something. I'm 1* and i still play with dolls and soft toys but I dont care if people find out. People just think I'm cute because I'm like a baby

Join the club. And the actual games are a lot deeper and more challenging than the trading cards or the anime.

Who cares what others think? Do what makes YOU happy, life is too short to worry about what others think....... Besides your friends would probably like it if they tried it...... My son has the game and I am 30 + and have played Both (Colosseum and XD) games and it is alot of fun, and usually has trick endings. I think your cool......
