Convention has it that when a woman marries, she may keep her last name or take her husband's last name. For the men, however, nothing has to change. Although there is no law that says a man cannot use his wife's last name, he will have to legally apply for name change. And he better be prepared for all the ribbing he's gonna get from his macho friends. LOL

You can legally change your name to just about anything you want, but you should also know that taking a woman taking her husband's last name is completely optional. Many, many, many women don't change their names when they get married.
