leandro has done so much more as a 6th man than stackhouse has. there have been a few games where stackhouse had a great game off the bench but most of the time it isnt needed becuz the mavs r so good. but barbosa always gets at least 25 mins a game. wenever 1 of the starters 4 the suns comes out in goes barbosa and he can do xactly wat a 6th man is supposed 2 do. and wen 1 of the starters is out 4 phx barbosa starts. now thats wat u call a 6th man

I am not sure the question you are asking. If you are asking who is the best 6th man in the league it is not Barbosa or Stackhouse. The reason is that Ginobli and Ben Gordon are both 6th men. I know that neither one of these players should be a sixth man and they play starter minutes but the truth of the matter is that they are both 6th men. That being said the 6th man of the year should go to either Gordon or Ginobli. I would vote for Ginobli since he does more than score.

Monta Ellis.

I don't know if he's eligible though, because he started a lot of games for the Warriors.

He's one of the top young guards in the league, and he's only going to get better. He's made Tony Parker and Leandro Barbosa look like chopped liver on the court... and both of those players are about as quick as they come.

the 6th man award goes to a player who comes off the bench more then he starts. whether he plays 40 minutes or not, its not the case at hand. its their impact coming off the bench.

if you look at the main candidates, you will see they get good court time, but not necessarily start minutes.
Barbosa - 32 minutes
Ginobili - 28 minutes
Gordan - 32 minutes (however is starting too many games atm)
Lee - 30 minutes
Stackhouse - 24 minutes

all of these players come off the nech and contribute well keeping their teams in games, or leading their teams to victories. i dont think court time will have an impact in the voting. its more so how many games are started that affects eligability.

stackhouse is having a good year off the bench, but his court time is limited as they most likely wanna keep him fresh for the playoffs. it will likely go to manu or barbosa for the award

I think Lee has been eliminated from the discussion at this point in the year because of his injury problems as of late, and the consistency that Barbosa has been showing.

I'd say Barbosa. Gordon is pretty close though, it could go either way. Not sure how many games Gordon has started though.
