uum.. zombie story... let's think...

it depends hugely on how you have described these zombies... but it can be something like, the zombies have infested most part of the city, lurking inside houses and taking life away from whoever crosses their road. Maybe you can add something like... I don't know... they all come for a specific person, a person who is hidden in... a church maybe?... and that they need him/her, or something he/she has in order to rest and be free (or something like that). A zombie can be his/her father!! that would be cool.

Not something cliche like a family member turing into a zombie and eating the protagonist....

It would be interesting, that one would follow the story of a main character of how he survives horrid incidences, but at the end loses and turns into a zombie. Kind of like the remake of "Dawn of the dead", where they escape but land on an island infested with zombies....that was really original.

What else would be new for a zombie story, is that the protagonists travel around, invading zombies instead of always staying at a safe place(Eg: "Night of the living dead" ppl always stayed in a house for the whole movie, or "Day of the Dead" where they stayed in a sort of bomb shelter and of course "Dawn of the dead" ,where they stayed in a mall.)
