It is not that big a deal if you need to check them all. Your car probably doesn't have more than fifteen fuses but if you can get down there and look very close there should be writing and maybe on the fuse box cover there will be a diagram and they will have descriptions for each fuse i.e. what circuit each fuse goes to sooooo if your headlights work then you don't need to check that fuse and on and on. If you can really get your eyes up to the fuse maybe you can see where it is blown before you take it out but sometimes the fuse blows in different places so you can't see until you remove it.

The fuse no. is normally listed on the back of the fuse box cover, inclusive the rating.
Just curious why the fuses were not change during testing by the mechanic?
Next time, don't go for a Korean car, just because it is cheaper, Ok!

normally the fuses are listed on the inside of the cover for the fuses and quite often they are also numberred in very small numbers beside each fuse.
But if you had it in and they told you the two fuses were blown ytf did they not replace them. thirdly never heard of a fuse cuasing an engine light to come on before...Lets

have you taken the covers off the fuse blocks and looked on the backside of them?most are numbered. if there not you can find them pretty quickly with a test light just turn the key on hook your light to ground and touch the contacts on top of the fuses the light should light up on both sides. the real question is why are the fuses blown???

just check them all. if your check engine light is coming on theres a problem and you would rather check them all then have a problem with your engine (5mis will save you lots of $$$$$$$) its not hard to check just see if the metal bit in the middle is joined. this will help if you have a problem with the fuses again.
become involved in your car

most auto parts stores carry car repair books, see if they have one for your car and if it has the listings for the fuses.

try seeing if all the electronics work, air, heat, windows, radio, blinkers, mirrors, reverse lights ext. if you still cant find it and you dont have a test light then you will have to pull them 1 by 1

I second the test lite. That's the only way I test them at my shop.
