I already have Pujols at 1st base, and plenty of 1B on my team. Aurilia, Duncan and Sexson.

I'm have a deal in process to trade Sexson for RP Tom Gordon. Should I do it? My only reliever on my team is Wagner since my other reliever went down with injury. Should I just pick a RP from the wavier ie Shields, Henseley etc or should I stick with this deal?

I would in that you are getting a bon fide closer in Gordon, and Shields and Hensley are short relievers who get an occasional nibble at saves, so I think this is a great deal for you as Sexson is on the downside of his career and you have more than ample coverage at 1B.

Hope this helps and Good luck!

I think you should stick with this deal. Flash (Tom Gordon) is a pretty good closer and he probably will get you a good amount of saves this season. 1B is looking good for you, so i dont think trading sexson for Gordon will make your team worse. Shields is just a regular reliever. He probably wont get many save opportunities at all and you can always pick him up from waivers.

Do the trade.

Yes you should do it. You have too many bench hitters and Sexson will hurt you in AVG almost as much as he helps in the power categories. Frank Thomas is basically the same player only a little more consistent. While you're at it, I'd drop Aurilia or Duncan and add another closer. Saloman Torres might be available. If not look at Brian Stokes of Tampa Bay.

I would nix this trade for Gordon he has some issues, control for one he's still trying to be a hard thrower, but his fastball just isn't the same as i was when he was younger. I would try to package a deal with Aurilla and maybe John Patterson for a good middle relief man maybe McKay McBride from Atlanta or Pedro Feliciano from the Mets. another solution might be drop one or more of starting pitchers and look to the waiver wire to see who is available.

I would wait because you don't want to make his team stronger by giving him a good first basemen like Sexson. Hold on to Sexson and start him at utility/corner infielder and wait for a closer spot to open up. They always do.

With Pujols already in your lineup, go for it. Tom Gordon will get you a few wins, saves, and K's.

Id go for it, Gordon isnt one of my favorites but he is better than anyone on waivers. Since 1b looks ok.
