Savage is a guy who used to advocate for the legalization of Marijuana and hung out with Beat Poets, including Alan Ginsberg. Then he realized he could make more money pandering to the hate mongers on the Right.
He is just a con artist, in it for the money and attention. If you listen to him, you lose.
