If taken literally, it is quite simple to understand that Nothing lasts forever.
Now let us put in some more thought to it.What is the thing that we are talking about is it life......one has to die ;
is it the childhood, the adolescence, the youth ...the phases all change;
at some point in your life having a bicycle meant happiness but today it is having a mercedes and tomorrow it may be your private jet.....the wants change.
This just shows that Change is a way of life and nothing lasts forever.

Nothing lasts forever.... well its such a nice phrase but why should it not last forever???? don't we want our love our passion our dedication our simplicity our innocence our peace our desire our happiness etc to last forever?? it does last forever only that when we are back to dust it is sealed in the ground forever>> we live with all life having everything but we take it with us when we are called to god's paradise to so it is with us there also>>>>

It means that we should realise that everything will change. We all are not permanent on this earth, and nothing is permanent including the sun, earth the stars, and the people and all living beings and everything. Each and every minute there are changes. This is the ultimate truth. If we realise this, then we become more mature and we will not have the greediness, jealosy nature, lust, and being unhappy etc. We will serve the society with more love and care and look for the welfare of our society leaving all selfishness and serve with selfless motive.

In this life everything has a beginning & an ending. Nothing lasts forever. Except the soul which continues to exist in the afterlife. & love, which never dies.

There are lots of things that last for ever.
Some things like our love for a doll, or a particular model of car, or winning a game- they dont last for ever - they are just some moments -
Just think:
-The air that you breathe in right now? Where did it come from and where is it going after you breathe out....
This lasts for ever. It will enter your body now, a dead body later, into some bottle as gas, into some balloon... but it is there for ever.
Same way wind lasts for ever.
Silence of the universe lasts for ever

"Nothing LASTS forever" means that no actual object or entity can last forever. "Nothing" however can last forever as long as "something" doesn't change it.
