When did the majority of the youth start liking rap and screamo rock??? Personally I don't favor these genres of music cuz most of them have no artistic value. . .

I'm with you on this. I'm a musician and I look at this rap as, like you said, having no artistic value.. I prefer Prog Rock and Jazz.!!!

I believe that if you are putting out your artistic talent to use who's to say if it has artistic Value or not? as long you are being creative that's what count's, entertainment industry are not the be all of what has or hasn't have Artistic Value. Though Rapp isn't my type of music I do favor some rapp tunes, it takes skill to RHYME and Rapp and make your writing a Hit, Listen P.Diddy, Dr. Dre and EMINEM are successful artist because of their artistic skill of making poetry in to Rapp, this rapp thing started way back in the late 70's with the sugarhill gang, grand master flash maybe even earlier then that, in the 50's alot of the older folks labled ROCK N ROLL as being the Devils music, same with Rap people labeling it as not having any artistic value, or being a passing phad with that being said "ROCK n Roll is here to stay so will Rapp music"
