To answer your question, yes, you probably could. But should you is another matter...!

Yes -- but it will be meaningless. There are lots of diploma mills that will give you a "degree" for money. However, these "universities" are not accredited.

Those of us with real PhDs in Finance (mine is from the University of California at Berkeley) will point at you and call you a fraud.

The knowledge needed to be a chartered accountant differs from the knowledge needed for a PhD. If you can do all of the following, then I promise not to make fun of you.

1. Derive the Black Scholes formulas using Ito's Lemma

2. State why the Modigliani-Miller theorem is important, even though the conclusion and all of the assumptions are false.

3. Explain why risk-neutral probabilities can be used to price derivatives.

4. State and derive the fundamental theorem of asset pricing.

5. Derive the equilibrium in a simple Kyle Model.

6. Explain Myers-Majluf

7. Explain Miller-Rock

8. Explain why academics dismiss technical analysis.

9. Explain why the Equivalent Martingale method is used more extensively in asset pricing than the use of partial differential equations.

10. Describe what Lucas learning is -- and how it applies to finance.

You could photoshop your own, but you honestly could not get a legitimate PhD in anything for just a price. Your credits could be transfered to continue your degree at some colleges.

Yes, but when you put it on your resume, everyone will be able to look up the school you bought it from and realize that it's not an accreditted university, but a diploma mill. So it's not really going to be worth anything.

save your money dude.
spend it on the post-graduate studies.
get the mba first, then go for the PhD.
make the time...take a part time programme. you can work & study. normally the classes are on weekends or at nite.
yes, it takes some time but it worth it.
it takes lots of sacrifices and you won't regret it.

I think it's ironic that someone who thinks they are smart enough to automatically get a Ph.D. doesn't understand why an unaccredited Ph.D. would be a serious risk to their career!

You sound like another cheat. that is the problem with the world today, too many qualifications that mean noting and in some cases are a danger to all. I presume that you will be happy to fly with a pilot who has bought his qualification????
