Personally. I can't help it, I'm put together that way. How I deal with it matters on what the rejection was all about in the first place.

i struggle with it, since i have dealt with it 99.99 % of the time i ask someone out. wish they would at least tell me why i am apparently not good enough to spend a 3 hour date with...

I just shrug it off and think about it later.
I figure it's all about water off of a ducks back.
since there is larger things in the world to be worried about.
