i just bought it today, and when i opened it, there is a note mentioning that the card needs extra power fro the PSU by using the 6-pin powr cables...

the note inside the box also mention that the card will not support 4-pin to 6 pin power converters... does it mean I must buy a power supply with a 6pin power cable...?

by the way... i saw the other 8800gts from other manufacturer, they provide a 6-pin to 4 pin converter in their box!!!
(I bought it from XFX)
Is it only XFX's 8800gts won't support 6pin to 4pin converter??

it means you need a PSU with 2 6 pin cables with atleast 18 amps on each rail. If you need help finding one email me.

My eVGA 8800 640MB GTS OC only has one, and there was an adapter to convert 2 X 4 pin molex connector to PCI-e power connector in the box. Don't know for sure about your XFX, maybe e-mail XFX and ask why not?
