I am going to change spark plugs in my 98 corolla. I went to bosch website and they said that the PLATINUM+4 7A-FE plugs are compatible with my Car. but my Cars manual says that I should put in twin spark plugs.

Is it okay to put in 4 ground spark plugs in my Corolla. My dad says no because he thinks it going to be hotter and mess my engine up, but I am looking for more power and fuel efficiency.

I need advice of an expert please!!!
Thanks

You should know—
It doesn't matter how many electrodes the plugs have, the spark is only going to jump one electrode gap at a time, and all the others are just there for the ride.
You would be much better off using the recommended plugs, both for money and for the car. Toyota is the manufacturer and they know best what they engineered the engine to use.
The added electrodes will not have any effect in the heat range of the plug. The heat range is determined by the depth of the ceramic well at the plug body.

Funny looking spark plugs that claim to make the engine run better are pure snake oil. Just use the platinum version of the model the manufacturer recommends.
Manufacturers don't spend hundreds of millions of dollars designing engines to squeeze the last horsepower and mpg out when they could have gotten the same results with different plugs.

Use the manufacturer's recommendation. They spend time and money figuring out what works well, and to use anything different is more likely to hurt than to help.
