start off with a grid & use that as your guide for sizing the elements of brochure.
use colors that relate well to each other.
when choosing a font, use one that works with your imagery...curly, serif/sans serif, squat, thin, etc.
repetition strengthens unity. use elements that are similar in shape and form.
a unified piece works as a whole.
hope this helps.

Adobe InDesign is an awesome program to use, but if you don't have it, then pagemaker or power point will work. Just go to your master page. This is where you can make a template. You can specify the font sizes, type, background, and other stuff. This template can apply to all your pages.

Use Adobe Pagemaker, that's, by far, the easiest program to use when making a brochure.

It would be easy if you use Microsoft Word. You just go to page setup and pick how many pages you want to have.
