Yes, but if I was brown fan would I want David Carr leading my team the answer is no. It's not his fault that he had a sorry o-line but most of the sacks was because of him. The Texans should of never made him there franshise QB. Im not saying they shouldn't signed him I think they should of signed a veteran qb and let david carr learned from him. They should of never made Dom Capers there coach or made Chaserly there GM. Carr has been sacked 249 times he might be shell shocked or atleast I know I would be. Carr could of been one of the elite qb in the game if the Texans made him a back up qb for atleast 2-3 years. So my answer is no he wouldn't work out with the Browns or any other team.

I am not sure David Carr would be a good fit with the Browns - right now it seems they are having as many problems with the OLine as the Texans had.
I did read something that had the Browns at least showing a passing interest (excuse the pun) in Trent Green, and there is still talk about Brady Quinn as well as Russell from LSU.
The Browns seem interested in getting a new QB. The only way Carr would work is if the good OLine was already in place.

I'm so mad at the Texans. Last season they keep Carr and pass on Reggie Bush and Vince Young only to pick up Mario from the barrio. They say we need a stronger Defense and have a fantastic RB in Dominik Davis. Mario makes like 5 tackles all season, Davis goes down to IR immediately and Carr is a total wash up. To make it worse, Vince starts for TN romps us at home and Reggie (also starts) takes New Orleans to the playoffs. Now they decide we need a QB so we pick a second stringer and give up draft slots for him. Now they are saying that we need a RB. Seems like lots of people should lose their job with the Texans for this blunder.
As far as Carr goes, he's done. They always blamed the line for his problems, but last year the line was much better and he still didn't do well. He has happy feet and is so shell shocked from getting sacked 1999 times he will not keep cool and stick in the pocket long enough. He has a good arm, but his accuracy is bad. His biggest problem (as if the previous weren't enough), he isn't a playmaker like the other QB greats.
He's an OK NFL QB at best. He'd be a great second stringer behind someone good in case they get hurt.

i think the Texans should have kept Carr. If you look at the 2004 season he had a good yr with solid protection. Schaub better pray they make some moves for an O-line other wise hes gonna be praying that this is all a dream and that when he wakes up that the Falcons actually traded Vick and not him. Anyone with a solid line better sign Carr bc he will be a solid starter. Id like to see Carr end up in KC if they trade Trent to MIA.

The question is would he be better then Frye. Doesn't seem to be much confidence, by fans, in Frye or Anderson. I'm not sure the fans would want the Texans reject either. Also the Browns had a lot of injury problems last year, including the mess they were calling a line. Between injuries and retirements early on they were a mess before the season started at the line. Then you had the dude they picked up who had to serve the 4 game suspension, from before they signed him. I don't think he would work good with them though. It is a very physical division and he is already physically worn down from all the sacks and knock downs. I'm not really putting him down but how many more hits can he take when he would have to play the Steelers and Ravens twice a year, and the Bengals are getting physical.

I Think David Carr Is Done. I Don't Think He Will Ever Be A Starting Qb Again.
I Think The Browns Are Gunna Give Frye One More Year And If He Don't Cut It They Will Get A New Qb Next Year.

Carr was nothing because he had no offensive line. He is decient talent, but the Browns will make a terrible move in picking him up. The Texans and the Browns are at the bottom of the QB sack list over the past 5 years. He would be a flop just like he was in Houston.

David Carr is similar to Charlie Frye in the sense that he holds on to the ball to long and takes sacks. The Browns will try to avoid that with an improved O-line this season.

well, david carr didnt shine because he had a crappy O Line. in all honesty, i dont know much about the browns team and their O Line. if the line can hold up, i believe carr will fit in just great with the browns. he's a great qb, he just needs more time that most qb' get in the league.

It depends. If Brady Quinn is gone by the time they draft maybe Romeo Crennel will be desperate for a QB so he can focus on defense like he is good at. Carr does not suck as bad as the Texans, but his reputation is tarnished so he may be cheap.
