I recently moved to a new town. I feel very lonely because I haven't made any "hanging out" friends in the 6 months or so I've been here. I have friends at work and we occasionally chat about going out, but we never do. I also want friends outside of work, but I hate the bar/club scene. So what's a guy like me to do in a new town? Maybe I should drag my coworkers to hang out sometimes? Appreciate your imput. Thanks.

If your coworkers are your only friends then you should drag them out somewhere. If you don't like bars, & I don't blame you, then you could try a movie, video games....
Tell one you're planning on buying something & ask them to go along to give their opinion.
Have a BBQ at your house & invite them over.

My husband to be when he was the "new guy" in town came to the restaurant where I worked and chatted with the locals and flirted with the waitresses.
You also should take the initiative to ask the co-workers to go do something: Golf, shoot hoops, go to the gym, bike ride, or maybe go to church.
