can marijuana grow wild?

i have desperatley tried to get my hands on weed so im seeing if it grows wild in the woods near my house

Oh yeah it can, and I've seen it! In central Asia where it's native it grows wild. I've heard also that in the midwest it still grows wild in spite of attempts to erradicate it. It can grow almost anywhere it's planted.

Marijuana can grow outdoors very well. It grows naturally throughout Asia and South America. In a lot of places, marijuana plants are grown outdoors since it is cheaper and they take advantage of the best grow light available (the sun).

If you plan to grow cannabis in the woods near your house you have to find a good spot. It must be a place that gets a lot of sunlight, and it should be near a stream or humid place (unless you plan on watering a couple of times a week). Security is very important in outdoor grows and thus you should make sure that no one sees you going into the woods and that no one finds your plants.

Once you find an appropriate grow site you will need to get healthy seeds. There are several places you can buy seeds from that will ship to the US, just be sure to give a friend's address or a PO box address.

Regarding the strains I suggest Sour Diesel, it is my personal favorite and it grows well outdoors. However, this is quite an investment ($150) so if you are looking for something cheap check "nirvana seeds" (they have decent strains for $25).

Yes. All it needs is adequate sunlight and water. However, your chances of finding it may be impacted by the fact that many wild animals, including pretty much everything from bears to rabbits like it as much as you. Also, wild weed tends to be much weaker in strength. In point of fact, most of the weed you can find growing wild all over the US is hemp that got loose when the government was growing hemp for the war effort in WWII. Hemp is very harsh and has none of the psychoactivity of cannabis.

Yes, it can grow wild, especially in mild climates. Of course, given the fact that people want to have it, a lot has been culled, and law enforcement tries to do it as well. I remember when I was a kid, marijuana plants were found growing on the grounds of the Texas Capitol in Austin!!

Yep, it grows wild in the midwest, like the guy above said. My uncles used to laugh about young girls who smoked wild marijuana behind a bakery. But, I've also heard that it won't get you very high.

I think your best bet is to kick the habit, but if you want to walk around looking for real weed, it's probably good exercise. (-: Just be sure you *know* what you have !!!! Can you imagine smoking poison ivy by mistake???

grows wild alot of places but problem is that weed has been pollinated by other plants and maybe who knows what.........so if you smoke the wild kind you'll probably end up with a headache and alot of seeds......hope this helps...good luck on your search too:)

Lord yes, it is a weed here in KS. All it will do is give you a headache though. Orignally grown for making rope.

my husband grew up on a farm that raised hemp product (for ropes and such), it was a perriannual, came back year after year. even drove a steer mad when he ate it after the crop wasn't harvested, didn't know what it was til he went nuts.

This is bull ****, stop talking about growing illegal drugs on yahoo! And the people who encourages it are just messed up, go into rehab and quit, I'm just coming straight out, when you do drugs, you throw your life away. I had many close family members on drugs and dead, and it just frustrates me to hear people on drugs thinking its cool, its not cool, unless you think crumbling up your life and throwing it in a garbage is cool.
