If your degree is in Islam you can either be a terrorist or an assistant prime minister; I here Iraq is looking for a new one. lol

Try a private college. Many Jesuit or other Christian colleges hire graduate students in religious studies. Pay is probably only mediocre until you get so experience.

Good Luck

You didnot specify, in which religion. !
But taking for granted that you could get a degree for all religions together, you can work in an institute which has Value education, or moral science, or ethics etc as prime subjects to teach youngsters.
Salary will be the same as other teachers get.
Also you can open your own institute that works during holidays, where you help youngsters to develop their personalities, and teach philosophy of life, meditation to de-stress, spread love for all, etc.

I don't know about salaries, but being a professor of religious studies can be plenty enough to pay the bills! You can author books, specialize in one or another area and improve your salary opportunities by getting your masters or Ph.d., or Ed.d. Work for it, it will be worth it.

You can always get into the ministry, if being a minister isn't your calling, there are administration jobs within the church that you might look into. (A larger church would have more oppurtunities and better pay than a small church). You can also teach at a Christian school.
