I get a call from a # I don't know and the person does not speak. there is a 6-10 sec. pause then hangs up. Why do some people do this?

They might like the sound of your voice. Or they are wierdos obessed with you. Is the number private? I would change your number if it got too much. My sister got phonecalls at the same time everyday from a private number, she ended up calling the phone company and getting the number changed. If they end up calling you on your new number you will know its someone you know.

Could be solicitors or robbers trying to determine what hours you are at home

maybe they suddenly lost their voice?or they got the wrong number and are just too rude to apologize?or they like wasting their $..there are just too many reasons..
