many people think that as we use robots more and they get Artificial intelligence that they will eventually revolt. Wouldn't a more logical explanation be that it will be a repeat of the slave thing in america? will there be a new underground railroad? Will there be more moments like this.

I think this will only happen if we put too much self ability into robots, so where we have to control them less. And I don't believe the robots' actions would be driven by any kind of agenda, just malfunctions and flaws in design. I don't think there is any way for something operated by AI to become self aware- unless we are stupid enough to put real intelligence into them.

I guess it depends on whether or not robots ever become self-aware. Isaac Asimov's robot stories have the three laws of robotics to control robots.

Law 1 - A robot may not injure a human nor through inaction allow a human to be harmed.

Law 2 - A robot must obey a human unless this conflicts with the first law.

Law 3 - A robot must protect its own existence unless this conflicts with the first or second laws.

Hopefully, robotic designers will keep these in mind as they design increasingly advanced robots.
