and it makes the funny kerplunk noise indicating that the two are connected but the little window that pops up asking me how I want to load them on the computer isn't appearing. What is another way I can find a way to load them?

and Yahoo Rocks....just so you know I did ask in the proper category AND I asked in P&S. I knew I'd get a response quicker if I asked here.

Click on My Computer and look for the removable drive. When you see it, click the icon, and click through until you see the files appear.

You might not have the matching software on the computer you are connecting to. If the software is loaded correctly, it should be detecting your device (camera) automatically! Try going to the control panel and looking for "Scanners and Cameras". Make sure you are connected first.

My computer does that too. You have to wait a while. Try manualy opening your load program and trying to load from, there untill you see the window.

It happened with me, I found out that I had to download the camera once again.

right click on your start button on the bottom of the screen and click on Explore look for your device or drive and click on it
