Usually a computer can support up to 4 devices like Hard Drives or CD/DVD Drives without any adaptors. Extra, you can add a RAID card with two more slots for two extra hard drives on each, so you will have FOUR more units. The price for the card is around $39.00 and so on. And don't forget an extra power source.

Depends on how many open bays inside the computer, plus you can hook some up externally though a usb port. How many do you want hooked up?
