Every night exactly at midnight my computer slows down to a crawl....I have high speed internet connection. But, this is every night....What's up with this? HUH?

That sounds like a virus to me. If I had to name it, I would call it the midnight virus. Find a good virus scanner and scan your computer to find out if you do have a virus on your computer.

Same speed. Although for some reason when I am in the middle of a game online late at night, connection suddenly goes out. UGhhhhhh I hate that. So the other player wins by default.

No, mine doesn't. Maybe, you need to disk defragment or let your computer rest by spending less time on it.
