I apoligized to her for some things i did,and she stormed out of the gym mad.2 months later,she smiled at me,but she still kept her distance and so did i.

hi there sounds like it but what cause the problem between you both ? does not matter whose fault it was would it be nice if you apologize it would make you feel better who done a right or wrong is not the matter it's who has the heart of gold to say sorry even if he /she did nothing wrong. just do not let it repeat it all over again if keeping your distance works that is fine. The first step towards forgiveness is to see the other person as a human being not as a source of hurt.

Although she forgives you she's not comfortable around you and doesnt trust you, therefore she keeps her distance and smiles knowing she made the right decision. Just take it as a lesson, learn from it, and give it about a year or so and you 2 just may be friends.

She probably does not trust you. Forgiveness and trust are two different things. If you really care, talk to her about it. She is the only one who can clear it up.
