"The Origin of Love" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch

If you haven't seen the movie, it requires an open mind, but is well worth the time. The song itself is a Greek story from Plato's Symposium. It looks at the idea of a "soul mate," saying that humans were once two people connected. We angered the gods and Zeus divided us to punish our insolence. So, we spend our lives searching for our other halves. My description does not do it justice, but it is a beautiful song with a beautiful story from a beautiful movie.

It always changes, but for right now, it is clocks by Coldplay. The words don't mean a lot, but for some reason, it always seemed to be on the radio when my wife and I were driving to birthing class. It was getting close to the due date, and there was just something about the song on the drive. We were silent, but we shared a lot. We tried for 9 years to have a child before we finally had Grace, who is now two, and wonderful.

"My Little Runaway", from the early 60s. I was a kid, short of 12 years old and I fell in love for the first time in my life. Then again, Argentine singer Leonardo Favio and his songs from 1969-1970.

We Are The Champions(Queen)-that is my husband and my song. It's kind of a weird "our song", but it really relates to us. We run a business together and we find ourselves constantly challenging one another. We laugh about it when we hear this song.

"You are my sunshine" because its the first song I learned how to sing all the way and my grandpa who passed away used to always sing a long with me. The song is like a piece of him I can hold onto.

Right now?

Good Enough - Evanescence.

Im going through a really rough time trying to tell this guy why I like him due to homophobia and stuff. I've liked him for a long time and I think 'Good Enough' relates to how I feel. When I listen to Evanescence, I know Amy has her meanings to her songs [the boys write to though can't forget them. john lecompt btw, can seriously write sum lyrics!] and yeah, she has her meanings but when im depressed, first thing I think is...EVANESCENCE. And Im happy. Actually, the whole album 'The Open Door' is helping me understand relationship problems and how to cope with them. When I listen to lyrics, not only are they unique but interpreted by me in my own way. get what im saying? In that, im saying, lol, when I hear 'Good Enough' i hear amy saying 'Go for it, you are not alone in this, im going through it too, ask him, if you truly love him, don't care what he will think, you are good enough. once he knows he might trust you. don't turn away if he says no, your good enough!' wierd eh? but true.

Here are the Lyrics
Good Enough

Under your spell again
I can't say no to you
Crave my heart and it's bleeding in your hand
I can't say no to you

Shouldn't let you torture me so sweetly
Now I can't let go of this dream
I can't breathe but I feel

Good enough
I feel good enough for you

Drink up sweet decadence
I can't say no to you
And I've completely lost myself and I don't mind
I can't say no to you

Shouldn't let you conquer me completely
Now I can't let go of this dream
Can't believe that I feel

Good enough
I feel good enough
It's been such a long time coming, but I feel good

And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall
Pour real life down on me
'Cause I can't hold on to anything this
Good enough
Am I good enough
For you to love me too?

So take care what you ask of me
'Cause I can't say no

I own all thier albums [Fallen, Anywhere but home, and The Open Door] and...well. I effin love Evanescence.

There are too many good songs that mean so much to me to name them all. If I had to pick just one,off the top of my head, I would have to say 'Imagine' by John Lennon becase the song says so much. Listen to the song and just IMAGINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
