My edit thing for ordering fantasy teams the way i want to isn't working can someone help?

I don't know which "edit thing" you are talking about.
If you are talking about the fantasy home page and the order in which you see your fantasy leagues and teams. After you edit, click on the refresh button on your browser - not the back button. Or on Internet Explorer click on tools and then select Options and clear your history. If that didn't work, log out of Yahoo Fantasy and then log back in.

If you are talking about the "edit thing" on your team to change a players position then you have to click on the Submit Changes button on the top right hand side of your team page or on the center of the bottom bar just below the list of players.

Are you talking about ranking players for your draft? If so, once you move the players in the order you want to the right side screen, remember to SAVE. Also, it is important to move the injured and other players you don't want to the left screen.
