No offence, but those aren't in any more. You can always trust their Slip-Ons to be in style forever! They have sooo many pairs. Their hi-tops are not in though. Thanks.

it all depends on the style you're goign for...
taking into account that you're concerned with if Vans are in...what type of music are you into?
Gym Class Heroes?...
or more on the rock side?....OR more to the rock side?
My take? The checkered ones are definitly more skater'ish therefore, rock'ish. But the thing is...i feel strongly that checkered anything is a little played out.
i would go for the white pair. warm weather is comming soon...[don't break 'em out until after April..."April showers bring May flowers"] but also, the white looks more stylish and uniqe; as opposed to conforming.
Get whichever you like, whichever fits your personality best.

Wether or not Vans are still in totally depends on what scene you're in. That honestly shouldn't matter though. Don't wear what everyone else is wearing. Wear what you like. It's like your personality and helps to make you you. If style does worry you though, I suggest getting their slip-ons. They'll always be in.
I'm not a fan of their high tops, but I think the checkered pair looks best.

uh, i still see a lot of people wearing them but..i personally think they don't look all that great. i preferred puma. but to answer your question, i like the white ones better. hope this help :)
