I was trying to wake up my sister in law for something important once and couldn't get her to come to the door, so I went around to knock on her bedroom window. This big dog appeared out of nowhere and started chasing me. Good thing I was young, because if I hadn't jumped on the hood of the car when I did he would have eaten me alive, I'm sure. I know that's not getting bit, but it's certainly getting the crap scared out of you by one. I've not liked big dogs since.

Yes, my cat bit me the other day because I was tickling it. It hurt like crap!! Sorry to hear about your dog bite, but most dogs aren't that mean. Maybe if you got a little puppy of your own, you could over come your fear? Do you still have a scar? :((

I was bitten by a dog a couple of years ago, but I feel it was partly my fault. I knew that he had been abused by a former owner, and I made a move that I should have known he might have taken as threatening. He just had a knee-jerk reaction, and I really felt bad for him. His owners don't have kids, and he has been a great companion for them since they rescued him.
You just need to find a dog that you know can be trusted and spend some time with it. But, never get too close to a dog you don't know.

I got nipped by my dog(He was a puppy then and didn't know no better), then my cat when she was mad. I got over my fear. I figured if the dog is evil he would growl before he attacks, If he is playing he will occassionally nip but won't hurt you. My fear is mainly wild dogs on the street.

Yes, got bit by a few dogs, very afraid of them. Got a St. Bernard last year, not too afraid any more.

Omg me too! Well, I was 16 at the time and it was my best friends dog. I went over to her house and the dog (don't ya know the damn thing was named Bubbles???? But he was a St. Bernard and HUGE) was out in the backyard......my friend hadn't told her dad I was coming over otherwise he would've been in his kennel or in the garage......and when Bubbles saw me....he came right at me, came between my legs and took a bite out of first one knee, and then the other....and I tried to run into the enclosed porch, well he came after me again......literally broke the door down and jumped up putting his front paws on my shoulders....he was trying to bite at my face....my friends dad kept trying to call him off and he wouldn't stop.......he finally had to take a sledge hammer and hit the dog in the back to get him off me.....I felt awful because he had to hit him, but he was okay.....that beast lived another 10 years....I'm okay with small dogs.....but not big ones...

Yeah, I worked for a dog groomer and I was shampooing this big, black standard poodle, and he reached out and punched me straight in the face, TWICE, just like he was Rocky Balboa, and I swear he was smiling too! Now that was a cool dog.

When I was 3, our pet miniature poodle bit me between the eyes. To this day I don't like small poodles. I love any other dog though.
