any age. But when you pierce a childs ear it is positioned in the center of their ear lobe. As they grow up and might choose to get a second earing put next to it it is hard to position the second whole.

I don't think BABIES should get their ears pierced. I have never understood why parents pierce their newborn babies ears. It's completely selfish. I will just wait for my daughter to ask me

When they are old enough to decide for themselves that ear piercing is what they want.

The salon I bought a couple of years ago use to pierce babies' ears. I couldn't stand watching them cry and be horrified by the act so I stopped the service shortly after taking over the business.

There is nothing wrong with waiting for a kid to be a pre teen or older before getting pierced ears.

What age can they? After their tetanus shot (3 months?)
What age should they? When they ask for them. I used to pierce ears and many bad things can happen when doing babies. And if things do go good, you are guaranteeing that their holes will be mismatched when they become adults.

i feel the smaller the better, bcos as they grow up they feel the pain and they go on touching the ears, which might give them more pain.. but when they are small they will not know much.. i pierced the ears of my baby when she was 3 months..

but my friend's doctor pierced the ears of her baby when she was 3 days old.. it seems that the doctor in that hospital pierce the ears- i feel that is the gud thing..

Babies can safely get their ears pierced at one month of age.

In fact, if there is a family history of keloid (thick scar) formation, it's better to have the piercing done before the age of 11. Keloids have been proven to be more likely to form if piercing is done after age 11.

I let my son get one ear pierced at age 8.

most doctors say at 2 months because this is when they get they're first shots because no piercing place will pierce a baby's ears if they haven't gotten their first shots
